Last week on February 2nd, I had our 4th child, a beautiful baby boy. I had asked my friend Jen if she would photograph the birth. She said she would love to…and I will be forever grateful that she was willing to share and capture such a wonderful time. Having her there and seeing her photos was one of the best experiences of my life. I will cherish those memories forever. I sent Jen a text that night around 9:00 in the evening as Jason and I were heading into the hospital. We had hung out at home all day through contractions that started sometime that afternoon. Also in the room with me was my amazing friend Amanda. When Jen got there at 10:00, I was 5 centimeters and at 1:56 a.m., Chase Robert was born. It was amazing. Please feel free to view the slideshow…it is absolutely beautiful. Seeing life enter into the world from Jen’s perspective behind her camera is so awesome. I promise there aren’t any of “those shots” but my disclaimer is that it is definitely the beautiful and breathtaking event of a baby being born. God is so good.
